Mentor Reg

WEBSITE ACCOUNT REGISTRATION FOR MENTORS

**This website is set up for homeschool families but does not have a good option for registering teachers outside of parents who have offered to teach. You will need an account so you can access your class rolls, forums and emails. We will do our training on this on Wednesday June 30th at 8 am. A link will be sent shortly for this call. Try to complete your registration before then so you can log on as we walk you through the site**

Go to the Youth Leaders for America website

https://www.homeschool-life.com/UT/YLA/

Click “JOIN” at the top

Fill out the registration form completely. Some of the information in this form will not be relevant to you, but the website requires it. So for “child” just add one of your kids in the required fields just for fun. You will not be required to pay the membership fees or volunteer hours or any of the other member requirements to just ignore those items.

At the bottom of the form there are several required reading links and form links that must be completed before the membership is approved. Please read through the  Mission & Vision and policy pages so you are well informed about what YLA is all about. You will NOT need to fill out the scholar forms, but please DO fill out the hold harmless form. You can click through the rest of the boxes since most are not relevant, don't worry about them since you do not have kids attending.

You will need to select “YLA Outside Mentor” in “Sections” so you receive information for mentors throughout the year. Do not select other boxes.

If you have not yet, please email your short bio and photo for your instructor page to [email protected]

We also need your payment information. PAYPAL is best. If you need help setting that up let us know.
